Baby Trent - Seattle WA

Sunday, February 20, 2011

This Baby...
has been hoped for,
prayed over, longed for,
loved.

This baby
has so very many people who love him.

And yet...

Not a single living person, only God, knew he existed until the very day he was born.

DSC_0821-1

Not his parents, grandparents, no doctors, not even the young woman who carried him, until the moment she gave birth to him in her bathtub. Imagine her shock! She had not expected him. And yet...

She loved him.

And she gave him a great gift. She chose the very best people I can think of to be his parents. Congratulations to my best friend and her husband on their miraculous baby boy! Photographing him on his 6th day of life was amazing; he is truly one of the most beautiful babies I've ever seen.

I look forward to being his "auntie" for at least the next 18 years!

Just in time for Valentines Day, I Heart Faces' theme this week is RED. This is one of my own
Valentines, my daughter Karter, in her favorite ladybug shirt.

Favorite Face of January - I (Heart) Faces

Monday, January 31, 2011

This is the first time I've entered the weekly photography "contest" over at I Heart Faces, but since its a new year, I thought I'd jump in and participate for the fun of it. I photographed quite a few adorable faces during this first month of 2011, but my favorite face was one that belongs to me. Here's my little guy in the chair getting a haircut.

Now go check out the other awesome entries over at Iheartfaces.com.

Madison and Kennedy

Sunday, January 30, 2011

I had such a blast with twins Madison and Kennedy this past week! It didn't take long after introductions to figure out that these two are equally beautiful, but quite a bit different! Ms. Madison is a charming, precious little mama's girl. Her sister Kennedy, well...lets just say she and I were fast friends! Precocious Kennedy warmed right up and often asked me to pick her up (lucky me!) and Madison hung with her mommy for the most part, which meant I was able to photograph their lovely mama, Sarah, quite a bit too.

I'll be photographing these sweet girls a few times this year, and I'm so excited to capture how they grow and change. See you soon, Mady and Gabby!

Miss Avery -- Take 2!

Tuesday, January 11, 2011

I had the pleasure of meeting up with Avery and her mom again, this time indoors.

This was my first time using any sort of indoor studio set-up and off-camera lighting. Shout out to my friend and photographer extrordinaire Timothy Horn for lending me some gear to make it happen!

Back to Avery...she has chub for miles, and it was not tough to talk her mom into letting me put her in a pink and black tutu. Isn't she adorable?
